Kindle I up, landlord

And finally, thanks in no small way to Chirpy, the Kindle-formatted version of Quaife's last Theorem is available to download.  And there's also a PDF version, which is the one I'd recommend if you want to have a proper read of the mathematics.  In fact, why not live a little and download them all.  Three times free is still free.
In other news, according to my Smashwords account, 157 copies of the non-Kindle (EPUB) version have been downloaded.  That's not quite J.K. Rowling territory, but it's a start.

How to ...

It's surprisingly difficult to work out which is the actual download button on the Quaife's last Theorem page on Smashwords.  I was clicking on a big green download button and nothing was happening.  In fact, that big button just moves you down the page, and there's another link you have to click on.
Also, not everyone has an e-book reader on their computer.  Adobe do a free one called Digital Editions, which works on Windows and Mac.  If you're on Linux, then Calibre is your best bet.

And, finally for now, it's official from Angela in the Smashwords marketing department that there will be no Kindle (MOBI-format) version of the book made available on that site.  So I'll have to come up with an alternative approach.  In the mean time, I can e-mail it to anyone interested and they can transfer it from their computer to their Kindle by following these instructions (if that doesn't work, blame Amazon, not me).

Quaife's last Theorem - ePublished

Today, I hoped that Quaife's last Theorem, the novel I finished writing about five years ago, would be published on SmashWords - www.smashwords.com.  Unfortunately, there seem to be some errors in the ePub file.  Which is a bit annoying.  Have these people never heard of LaTeX?

I might have to improvise.
